Digital Education Complications

This blog mentions Digital Education, and the concerns about moving to a Virtual School, which I agree with. Because what will we do if we can’t access our interenet or wi-fi? What if our calculators and such suddenly don’t do fractions, and long division for us? I think it is important to keep a more traditional classroom teaching style in place because technology isn’t always guaranteed…and we have all had our shares of experiences with that.
Elementary Teaching Tips

This Elementary Teacher’s blog uses techniques in the classroom when you are sick, and ways to prepare lesson plans and the school day for the substitute teacher. I like her blog and the way she has things set up. She includes ways to prepare the students for learning as well which I found interesting.
Coach G's Teaching Tips

Coach G’s blog is helpful in his article, “Learning and Leading by Listening”, to help students become active listeners. I like his idea of if the students are talking they’re not listening. He uses a strategy of keeping an Active Listening Check List to those who are not following along.

About Me

Hello! My name is Adam, and I am interested in pursuing a career as a teacher. I am 21 years old. My mother has been teaching Pre-School at St. Stephens Kiddie College in Sandusky, Ohio since 1997 and during Junior High and High School I often came in to her class to help and read to the children. I am interested in being a teacher because I enjoy working with people children of all ages, and helping them succeed in school and life. I am also eager to learn from them as well. I had many great teachers and coaches while growing up in Sandusky and they had a positive influence on me and my life. From their influence, I chose to pursue this career. While pursuing a teacher career I would also like to be a coach in either Football, or Basketball.
